The only true and real solution to the fake news epidemic our societies are facing is the individual criteria that each of us uses to identify truth from falsehood.
I believe good news has a power to change minds to do something to make the world better. Only knowing problems exist is not enough. We need to know the way to cause positive impact, and I know many people in Latin America who are doing it!

When I was young and I was studying English, one of my favorite exercises was the “True or False.” Finding out if the information presented was real or not was something that I loved. I had to check what was presented, the context, etc. Although I don’t take English classes anymore, I have the feeling I’m doing this exercise every day.

Media literacy, put simply, is the ability to identify different types of media and the messages they are sending. When we speak of media, it encompasses print media, such as newspapers, magazines and posters, and theatrical presentations, tweets, radio broadcasts, etc. Being able to understand these various forms of information with an ability to make sense of what is presented is key.
